I always wanted to be an inventor. I love studying and making things and my favourite topic is aviation. I was really excited about the idea that some day people could maybe fly like birds. This idea has inspired me to start designing and making a flying machine. I want to name it the ornithopter. When I was starting to my draw the first design, I thought it looked like a bat in the sky.
My first design
My machine has a wingspan of 33 feet. The frame will be made out of wood, covered in silk.I lie in the middle of the machine with my face down,looking at the ground. I will steer with my head so that my hands and feet are free to pedal. I will pedal with my feet to made enough power to fly. I am so excited to be able to fly my new machine.
